This expedition isn’t simply about 2 veterans completing 2 mountains and 2 Death Marches in 22 days—it’s deeply personal. Between them, the team has a combined military service of 45 years, during which they both saw operational service on three continents over four decades. The impact this has had on them and many of their friends is immense.
Further to this, one of the team members lost his father to cancer, while the other member’s wife currently has terminal cancer. As such, the two team members have a strong personal connection to the cause. The charities chosen for this expedition have been selected through personal journeys—with both having suffered from either PTSD, depression, and anxiety or a mixture of the three, while the cancer charity provided immense support their toughest times.

This expedition is a testament to their resilience, dedication, and commitment to making a difference for those affected by cancer and those veterans who suffer from mental health issues.
